What We’ll Cover
How to stop overthinking and actually finish your d*mn workshop!
-
You’ll quickly narrow down your workshop’s topic, audience, and scope so you can stop feeling overwhelmed by 10 million ideas.
-
You’ll quickly put together your slides and participant takeaways/handouts. No overthinking the aesthetic or wasting hours in Canva.
-
You’ll finish basic marketing materials — and most importantly, actually put them out into the world so people can see them and actually register!
-
The goal here is not perfection. It’s not about putting out a bad product — we’re helping you to put out a GOOD ENOUGH product, so you can learn from the process and actually move forward, instead of staying stuck in dreaming and planning. The only way you’ll learn what actually sells and what actually resonates with your audience is by trying things in real life. So that’s what we’re gonna do.
What We Won’t Cover
The only way to have a good workshop is to be specific about what problem you’re solving, AND what you’re not solving.
-
This is for more informal workshops that don’t result in credentials. If you want to learn more about CEUs, you can find that info elsewhere, but we’re not focused on that here.
-
We can talk about very basic PDF workbook and worksheet design, but we’re not getting into the weeds with self-publishing more formal products.
-
Our goal is creating something brief and focused, quickly.
-
We are not focused on how to make your workshop sell super well, or all the marketing strategies for building a sales funnel. That is a WHOLE topic that we don’t have time for, and frankly, if you haven’t finished your first workshop, you don’t need to get into that yet.
Start with finishing a very low-lift project. Don’t let it take up tons of time or energy in the process. See what you learn from the experience. THEN you can worry about selling.
